I got to be honest, getting bigger by the week is no easy feat. As if the discomforts, morning sickness, and other issues are not enough, we have to take it easy on ourselves as we become heavier, larger, and ugh, rounder. Well, it’s easy to just don a maternity wear and feel comfy, but don’t you want to style your bump a little more /fa-shown/ by just cobbling together few pieces that you already have in your wardrobe?
If you can still fit in them, why not!

Normally, many women start showing off at 14-16 weeks. But if you're unlucky to make a maternity wear look awkward, and lucky enough to still look good on non-maternity, good on you!
Wearing regular clothes at 22 weeks makes me feel accomplished, allows me to save crazy money, and keeps me motivated not to put on too much weight. Remember:
A woman who was average weight before getting pregnant should gain 25 to 35 pounds after becoming pregnant. Underweight women should gain 28 to 40 pounds. And overweight women may need to gain only 15 to 25 pounds during pregnancy.
During my first pregnancy with Atlas, I hoarded maternity dresses that I can no longer find now. We all know what that means monetarily. 😭

This time, I decided not to splurge and try to work on what I have because surprise! No matter your size, height, and weight, our bodies change so much in a span of a month. It would be wise to buy maternity items slowly.
For this matter, I found out we can totally rock bump-unfriendly trends (read: high-waisted bottoms and cropped tops) and make one #stylishbump. I would love a long top + leggings pairing but I'm only 5'1, and the last thing I want is to look shorter. The least I can do to add height is create an illusion of a long and lean silhouette and that's when cropped tops nail my #bumpstyle game perfectly.
So if you're a petite preggo mama like me, this style is for you!
Cropped Top + High Waist Leggings + Comfy Shoes
Trendy, stylish, feeling 22 vibe. As long as the bump is comfortable, right?

Go for layers; they make outfits extra chic. Careful with size though, you don't want your outfit to wear you.

You can create your own maternity capsule wardrobe with just a few essentials that I'm quite sure you already own. KEY ITEMS include:
Leggings (Because, leggings!!)
Denim Jacket / Vest / Sweater
Cropped Tops
Ribbed Dress
Maxi Dress
With these options on hand, you surely can style multiple outfits and bring on the A-game in dressing the bump.
Just a gentle reminder, comfort is the golden key. If you're not feeling okay with your outfit, your mood will follow suit. And we're ever so careful with that at this point right?
Lastly, wear your smile mama. You are beautiful! Even more than before now that you're carrying the most beautiful "accessory" with you.
